A ancestral imagem mítica do trânsito ao Além a lombos do psychopompos cavalo estaria representada no monumento funerário do herói [ou traidor, segundo que lado se olhe] da independência de Portugal do Reino da Galiza [[[não de Castela nem de Leão, como pretende, solapando sempre ao Reino da Galiza a historiografia portuguesa e castelhana. Não por acaso o português é galego, o sabe o linguista, ainda que não se explique por que falando galego [-português] o escrevemos na Galiza a costas da sua grafía histórica -uma grafía que tendo eu lido milhares de documentos e, transcrito e publicado, mais de duzentos diplomas em galego medieval dos séculos XIII a XVI conheço muito bem e ainda posso datar na segunda década do século XVI pelo tipo de letra -sem me equivocar em mais de dez anos, O juro pela Estigia!- o cancioneiro “en cadea sen prijon” em galego deturpadíssimo [infiltrado de castelão], mas não lhes saber-ia explicar por que razão temos que escrever nós, os galegos nossa fala galega, com inaudita gerga ‘galiÑola’, criada ad hoc, e a-normalizada deus ex machina a cada dia, ex nihilo, -se passando o voluntarioso e felíz a-normalizator [ou Terminator] pelo Arco do Triunfo a grafia histórica, suprimindo, por ignorancia!, o j, o g ou o ç, etc. 

As cenas mais antigas do monumento funerário de  Egas Moniz , do século XII, 532, datadas na primeira metade do século, podemos observar como ainda permanecia na Galiza vivo o culto a Iccona – Epona. Segundo minha interpretatio-lectio do programa iconográfico de esquerda a direita interpreto, Depois de umas mulheres erguidas [PRIMEIRA CENA] quatro mulheres jazem amortalhadas em seu leito de morte [SEGUNDA CENA], a seguir entra em cena [TERCEIRA CENA] um cavalo que é rodeado por três das almas das mulheres falecidas, enquanto a quarta se sobe a sua grupa montada como amazona, na derradeira cena [QUARTA CENA] o cavalo se estica como um cão salsicha, com as quatro amazonas, comodamente instaladas, e parte raudo e veloz para o Céu. Espantosa persistência!
Ontem, em plena Idade Média, como nos lembra esta cena do monumento funerário de Egas Moniz do século XII, no Reino da Galiza e no nosso Condado Portucalense,  recém escindido: o novo Reino de Portugal, a Loiminna Iccona / Epona ainda desempenhava  papel condutor pelo ar das almas da nobreza galaico-portuguesa ao luminoso Paraíso da Eterna Juventude e Boa Ventura. Na tampa ou cuberta do sepulcro lê-se HIC : REQUIESCIT : F(i)L(iu)S : DEI : VIR : INCLITUS : ERA : MILLESIMA : CENTESIMA : LXXXIIII
Como sucedia em Gales no século XI-XII, quando compôs estas histórias “fundamentally the stories of the old Brittonic gods from whom the Welsh dynasties in early historical times claimed descent [Rachel BROMWICH Studies in Early British History 1959,  103], seu anônimo autor, ou autora [talvez a avó de Gerardo de Gales] tinha muito interesse em vincular seu linagem ao ambiente melusino que já não entendia do tudo. Na Galiza sim que se entendia nesse período, e o sartego de Egas Moniz o demonstra. É mais ainda têm os meninos do rural galego -os galegos de Espanha e os Galegos de Portugal- notícias da Iccona Loinminna –Epona- Rhiannon, santíssima condutora das almas de nossos avôs, quando voltam de tuna, ainda que a Igreja, talvez por não lhe encontrar encaixe, e o egrégio Dom Vicente Risco a converteram em Dianho  Bulreiro [Burleiro Diabo].  Que alegria teria nosso Risco de ter sabido que depois do Bulreiro Dianho se ocultava a mesminha Rhiannon ou, o que é o mesmo, nossa Iccona Loiminha [mm = nh] (1995, 46ss)

RHIANNON E OS MOÇOS QUE VÃO DE TUNA
[…] a quem lhe aparece moito é aos moços que vão de tuna. Um caso que se repite moito é o de oito ou dez moços que van juntos em pandilha, de noite, e perto dum rio atopam uma cavaleiria, e tratam de montar para passá-lo rio. Monta um primeiro, outro detrás. Iste mira e diz:

-Aínda colhe outro. Monta o terceiro, e vê que ainda há sitio: -Ainda colhe outro! E assim vão montando todos. A besta vai-se alongando quantos mais sobem nela. Acomodados todos o cabalo, besta ou mula, mete-se no rio. Então podem ocorrer dous casos. Ou que um dos ginetes ó ver tanta gente no cabalo diga assustado: -Ai, Jesus que nunca tal olhei! E naquil instante, coa invocação do nome de Jesus, desaparece de súpeto o cabalo e deixa-os a todos no rio, do que saem, naturalmente, molhados como pitos… Ou também, sem que ninguém diga nada, que a besta pegue um estoupo, ou que se parta em duas pela metade; o caso é que no rio hão cair e hão levar molhadura (RISCO, 1962, p. 301-302). Desculpem as gralhas.

A barca assinalando o caracter celta e atlántico do santuário, pese a estar catalogada numa ficha pelo Concello de Ferrol, foi - a história interminável- levada faz mais de quarenta anos por um afortunado particular a seu chalet.  Assim é Galiza e sua complicada história, assim somos os galegos. Deste xeito achegueime en Compostela ata a Sé Diocesana, contigua á porta Norte da Catedral, e pedín un plano dos arciprestados. Tan simple como iso. Salvo o secular paso dunha denominación a outra, o substancial: a chamada “Consuetam Rationem”, é dicir o sistema jurisdiccional local de cada treba, e aínda os seus límites, permanecían intactos. En 1107, o Conde Raimundo de Borgoña esposo da infanta Urraca, a piques de morrer, dispuso que o seu fillo, o infante Afonso Raimúndez (nado en Caldas o 1 de marzo de 1105) fose apartado da súa nai, Urraca, filla do rei Afonso VI, e confiado no fosterage ou tutela do conde de Trava Don Pedro Froilaz, Princeps e Imperante da Terra de Trasancos e cabeza (tanaiste) do máis poderoso grupo nobiliar de Galiza, o clan trasanques “Petriz” ou Froilaz. Pouco dempois o rei Afonso VI convocou a tódolos nobres galegos en León, antes de morrer (1109), exixíndolles que lle xuraran fidelidade ao seu neto o infante Afonso Raimúndez. O rei demandou ao seu titor, o Conde de Trava Don Pedro Froilaz un especial xuramento: De casar de novo Dona Urraca, nai do infante, Don Pedro o nomearía rei de Galiza. Feito o xuramento, Don Pedro Froilaz tomou ao infante nos brazos e, abandonando a reunión, aguilloo seu cabalo ata chegar aos seus territorios patrimoniais nas Partes Extremas de Galicia, id est a chamada “Extremadela do Noroeste”: a Terra de Trasancos, onde puxo o neno nas máns da súa esposa, a condesa Maior, Guntroda, e da súa hirmá Munia Froiláz, que perdera un fillo de curta idade afogado no Mar da Xoiva. Don Pedro criaba coma un fillo máis ao infante nas ditas Partes Extremas Gallaeciae, fortalecendo o seu espíritu co ‘nobre deporte da caza’. En 1109 cando a nai do infante Dona Urraca casou có rei Afonso I de Aragón, Don Pedro proclamou a Afonso Raimúndes Rei de Galiza. Pouco despois Xelmirez nunha solemnísima cerimonia entronizatoria celebrada na catedral de Santiago, coronou en 1111, a Afonso Raimúndez como rei de Galiza. A Casa de Borgoña non esqueceu este favor, e máis adiante, Guido de Borgoña, o papa Calixto II estableceu o Ano Santo Compostelano.
Munia Froilaz recibindo na porta da súa uilla ao rei Alfonso Raimúndez. O Conde de Trava, Don Pedro Froilaz, princeps e imperante da Terra de Trasancos a comenzos do século XII, e cabeza [tanaiste] do clan nobiliar dos Petriz ou Froilaz, foi copropietario coa súa irmán Munia Froilaz, dunha extensa fraga que ocupaba grande parte do territorio que hoxe ocupa a cidade de Ferrol. O Conde, don Pedro, membro dunha liñaxe trasanca, foi titor do rei de Galiza Don Alfonso Raimundez. Arrincandoo recén nado, dos brazos da sua nai, a infanta e logo raiña, Urraca, o conde criou coma ún dos seus fillos, ao neno infante, na Terra dos seus antepasados, Trasancos, nas partes extremas de Gallaecia. O infante, pasou boa parte da súa infancia e mocidade, xa feito rei, no Mosteiro de S. Martiño de Xuvia, e no entorno narones, baixo o agarimoso coidado de Munia e de Visclávara, hirmás do conde, fortalecéndo o seu espíritu coa práctica da caza Unxido o infante Afonso Raimúndez rei de Galiza na catedral de Santiago, Don Pedro, deulle -reservando para sí os muntarios, monteiros da dita uilla-, con agarimo ao xoven rei, de consún coa sua himá Munia Froilaz, a uilla Ferreoli -non confundir coa Vila de Ferrol fundada hai oitocentos anos polo rei de Galiza e de León Afonso IX-, coa súa famosa fraga, entón o mellor couto de caza da Terra de Trasancos, chamada dende ese momento Fraga do Rei don Afonso. Don Afonso VII, rei de Galiza, có tempo convertiuse tamén en rei de León e de Castela, e ainda en Emperador tota Hispaniae.  Un día o rei, de consún coa súa nai a Raiña Dona Urraca, dandolles o Mosteiro de Sobrado, agasallou aos fillos de Don Pedro, o seu titor, ao primeiro conde de Trastámara don Fernando Pérez e ao seu hirmao maior, o Imperante de Trasancos Don Bermudo Pérez. Pola súa parte Don Fernando e don Bermudo, os seus compañeiros de infancia – verdadeiros irmáns seus-, segundo entón se acostumaba, pro roboratione, agasallaron a súa vez ao rei, cun venabulo e cun can chamado Ulgario -o máis antigo nome de can rexistrado en Galiza- que tiña un valor astronómico. Sen dúbida lembraban os tempos da mocidade nos que os tres andaban polas fragas seguindo o rastro do porco, cecais cun can como o representado por Carlos Alfonzo, chamado precisamente Ulgario. Quen sabe?. “E ploa rúbrica real, nos Bermudo e Fernando, dámovos, Rei Adefonso un can chamado Ulgario (na versión latina cecais tradución de Ulgeiro) e un venábulo que valen quinientos soldos”.
MAIOR COMITE [Desenho ideal de Carlos Alfonzo baijo minha direção para Caminhos Milenários. Vigiado por seu cão de caça Ulgario e pelo Mór Comite de Galiza Dom Pedro, o rei dom Afonso corre ao colo de Munia [Froilaz], que o recebe em 1109 (sic) à porta de sua uilla. Munia e Dom Pedro Froilaz doaram ao Rei uilla Ferreoli famosa pela caça maior da vizosa, desde então, Fraga do Rei dom Alfonso. Cem anos depois no lugar, em 1212, o neto deste rei, Dom Alfonso VIII de Galiza e IX de Leão fundou ex novo a Vila Medieval de Ferrol, como fundasse em 1208 a vila da Coruña [Crunha]. Pese a minhas recomendações, mais por ignorância e confusão dos distientos conceitos UILLA fundiaria/ VILA urbana, que por falta de interesse, Ferrol, minha cara cidade natal, não celebrou seu oitavo centenário o ano pasadoo. Nem uma missa em memória do fundador o rei Dom Afonso VIII de Galiza, etc.] O tánaiste, “cabeça de família”, dirige um holding de territórios políticos e propriedades do clã [b, 130-234], secularmente aglutinados na prosápia por herança ou casal, explodido em regime pro indiviso recebendo a cada membro seu quinhão ou quota-parte [b, 153-155]. No caso da Terra de Trasancos, a Casa (fine, linhagem) Prolix Petriz [b 53-200] está encabeçada pelo conde de Trava Dom Pedro Froilaz [maior inter comites de Galiza; um maior comitum equivalente ao chamado na Irlanda Rí Ruirech] e por seus irmãos; seu filho Fernando Peres, conde de Trastámara e sucessivos “cabos do clã” [Tánaistí] [Cal Pardo] até a morte sine semine em 1261 do derradeiro deles Dom Rodrigo Gómez Princeps Gallaeciae e dos comitatos [mór túatha] de Montenegro, Monterroso, Limia e Sarria, derradeiro maior comitum (rí ruirech) Petriz direito, também chamado na Irlanda Rí Cóicid, “Rei de Província” [sinônimo de reino, Provincia Gallaecia, “Reino de Galiza” [b, 54-234; p, 152-168] O tánaiste, “cabeça de família”, dirige um holding de territórios políticos e propriedades do clã [b, 130-234], secularmente aglutinados na prosápia por herança ou casal, explodido em regime pro indiviso recebendo a cada membro seu quinhão ou quota-parte [b, 153-155]. Segundo no reino em hierarquia, posesor de múltiplas trebas ou terras o Princeps Gallaeciae [como o Rí Ruirech, mostrando as instituições galaicas afinidade com as irlandesas do Críth Gablag] só tem em cima ao Rex in Galletia, ao Rei de Galiza; só é vassalo [e também é tutor no fosterage dos infantes], de Alfonso Raimúndez [á, 431], Fernando II, Alfonso VIII (IX de Leão) [á, 432], etc., do Ard Rí, “Alto Rei, Imperador” [á, As our rich mythology explains, this people probably left by sea from current Galiza, Nation of Breogão [“Brian”], first toward Ireland. They spoke an Atlantic Iberian Celtic language (as described by authors as Professor Moralejo, who analyzed river names, place names, deity names and other forms) and carried with them a social, political and religious organizational structure. They then migrated to Britain, moving into the Continent through the ice-free English Channel. This was the ‘Great Migration of the Celts’ as our present knowledge in population dynamics demonstrates.
This long journey across land and sea also signaled the dissemination beyond the Galizan epicentre of such elements as the cup and rings and labyrinth petroglyphs, the legends of the arrival across the ocean from Brigantia of the Gaels to Ireland, and the foundation in memory of the abandoned home, by the Gallaecian Amergin, of Dun na Gall, Donegal the dun, briga “hillfort” or castro of the Gall-aecos. A common political order and organization was also spread out, superimposed on the local differences, establishing a joint “public and private common law” consuetam rationem [ruling  treba/toudo and  Briga, “hill fort”, Dun, castellum, “castro”], a common military organization [reges, ari, ambactos, ikurigos, acadrolios, etc.], a common calendar of annual festivities, etc.,  making the Celtic Civilization the true catalyzer for the creation of Europe.

Walter Scott  Bride of Lammermoor.  The Lammermuir Hills are a range of moors which divide East Lothian to the north from Berwickshire in the Scottish Borders to the south. The fictional castle “Wolf’s Crag” has been identified with Fast Castleon the Berwickshire coast. [Sir Walter] Scott stated that he was “not competent to judge of the resemblance… having never seen Fast Castle except from the sea.” He did approve of the comparison, writing that the situation of
